The Bollywood interpretative dance was a delight. The beautiful array of colors in her dress collaborated with her poise and graceful movement were amazing. I thought it was a wonderful treat as a guest to be entertained with such a spectacular performance. This is a great way to begin a new chapter in one's life.

My name is Chetna Mistry and I am 18 years old. I recently performed my Arangetram after ten years of training with Inpa auntie, and it was the most rewarding experience of my life. Ever since I started learning Bharathanatyam, my attitude towards dancing has changed. This form of dance demanded discipline and strength, and mostly perseverance to master the complex sets of hand, body, and eye movements. My guru, Inpa auntie, would dance alongside us as we learned, making every jump look graceful and effortless. She never lost her patience no matter how much we struggled in learning the choreography. Inpa auntie did not only teach me how to become a professional dancer, but her charismatic nature has made it easy for us to become close friends.

Being a dancer from the school of Bharatha Narthanalaya is truly an honour. We set the standards high everywhere we perform, and I proudly stand by Inpa auntie as strangers shower praise on our performance. Dancing at Carassauga, Carabram, and various religious temples has given me confidence in life, but also respect for my culture. I owe all of this and so much more to my guru, Inpa auntie, and her school of dance which has become such an important part of my life.

I was a student of the Bharatha Natyam dance for almost 6 years. I’ve participated in cultural shows and functions. Being a part of the Inpa Xavier Dance Class gave me the opportunity to learn my cultural dance in a fun and educational way. Inpa's teaching was firm and straight forward to learn with a little touch of Indian film spice to her moves, which I’ve really enjoyed. The atmosphere presented was warm, welcoming and professional and I would recommend this type of dance to anyone who is interested in learning Bharatha Natyam.
